Ohad Naharin
Ohad Naharin serves as the artistic director of Batsheva. Ohad was born in 1952 and began a dance career at a young age. He trained with Batsheva in 1974, where he was introduced to Martha Graham and asked to dance with her in her company located in New York City. He later attended Juilliard. Along with studying dance, Ohad focused on music. This background in music helps him choreograph pieces. From 1980-1990 he and his wife started their own company. His company ended shortly after he was asked to become artistic director of Batsheva. Along with Ohad Naharin being artistic director, Sharon Eyal serves as the house choreographer and Adi Salant serves as the Assistant Artistic Director.
